The Centre for Democratising Information (CDI) was established in 2010 with the aim of creating a more equitable and just society through the democratisation of information. CDI grew out of the need to address the marginalisation of historically disadvantaged communities and the lack of access to information that could empower community members. Initially, CDI focused on conducting research and developing innovative methods for gathering and analysing data that could help to understand and address these issues. Over time, CDI has evolved into a multi-faceted organisation that provides a range of services and products to support social transformation and development.
